Spicy Tuna Salad

I’ve always loved tuna salads, but sometimes I just feel like I need to change it. This passionate tuna can be as hot or gentle as you want, depending on your jalapeno packaging.

Many major brands mark canned peppers as mild, medium or hot, so choose! And, if you like fire as much as we do, use a “hot” canned chili peppers, then paired with a hot sauce, and then add the optional chili peppers.

No matter what you do, don’t skip the crispy celery and onions! The texture they bring to the party makes it hard to stop eating this tuna salad! Coriander adds a touch of freshness, which really makes you want more.

My first thought on a huge salad plain was that it would be a salad for the killer pista, and the boy is mine! To turn it into a pasta salad, double the dressing and add 8 ounces of bite-sized pasta.

Serve: 4 Serve

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk mayonnaise, hot sauce, jalapeno sauce, salt and chili well. Add tuna, jalapeno, celery, onion and cilantro. Stir well.

  • Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
