Zucchini fried dough sticks – spend money

These zucchini fried dough sticks are filled with chopped zucchini, herbs and a hint of cheese and fry to achieve a golden perfection.
This is a side dish or snack that everyone will praise.

What are zucchini fried dough sticks?
Zucchini fried dough sticks are pies that are soft inside and crisp on the outside, a bit like hanging noodles or potato pancakes. They are different from my zucchini pancakes, which have a softer texture.
- smell: They are salty, light fragrance and tacky golden edges.
- Skill Level: Zucchini fried dough sticks are the ideal way to enjoy garden zucchini and are very easy to make.
- Preparation Note: GR-wrapped zucchini provides better texture and faster cooking time.
- in advance: They can be prepared in front and can heat up snacks well. If you have a lot of zucchini, double (or triple) the recipe when frozen!

Ingredient tips for zucchini fried dough sticks
- zucchini: Use medium zucchini and chop it with a box grater; no skin required! If you use a larger zucchini, use a spoon to scrape off the large seeds. If you prefer, add other cooked diced or chopped vegetables (squeeze them before using).
- Eggs, crumbs and flour: The seasoned bread crumbs add flavor and join the eggs and flour to help tie the fried dough together.
- cheese: Use pre-chopped or fresh chopped cheese. I love mozzarella and parmesan. Want to mix? Try cheddar, feta or pepper jack cheese.
- Variations: Change it and blend it with your own seasoning to make your zucchini fried dough sticks make. Red pepper flakes, black pepper, garlic, spices or herbs such as parsley or fresh dill are all good.

How to make zucchini fried dough sticks
- Chop the zucchini and toss them with a little salt and place in a colander (Full recipe below). Extrude excess liquid.
- Add the zucchini to a large bowl with the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
- Transform the zucchini mixture into a pie and cook in a frying pan or air fryer until golden brown and crispy.
Squeeze as much liquid as possible from the chopped zucchini. Cheese stuffing or a clean kitchen towel works best; paper towels aren’t enough to squeeze out all the liquid.
