Creamy Coriander Lime Seasoning Recipe

This simple, creamy cilantro lemon sauce recipe is one of our favorite seasonings Keep the refrigerator. Use it for salads, drizzle tacos, add to burritos and more!
This seasoning comes when I crave taco salad and want a bright, creamy cilantro sauce. I started with homemade ranch as a base, but swapped the herbs for a bunch of coriander and lemon for fresh lemon juice.
The result is one of the most delicious salad dressings we have made. This creamy cilantro lime seasoning recipe is perfect for salads, but you can use more. Think of tacos, burritos, rice bowls, dipping sauce for vegetable tortillas, and even dipping sauce for vegetables.
Key Ingredients
- Sour cream and mayonnaise: I use sour cream and mayonnaise to make our ranch recipe extra cream, so I do the same here too. If you want to lighten it up a little, you can substitute Greek yogurt or even a mixed cheese (weird, but effective!) for sour cream.
- Buttermilk or milk: Buttermilk adds a rich buttery flavor that is hard to beat. If you don’t have buttermilk, the processed milk contains more lemon juice. If you buy buttermilk for this recipe and put some recipes, try these buttermilk pancakes (I love them!).
- Lemon juice: A bunch of fresh lime juice brightens in a way that a store-bought bottle cannot compete with. Plus, lime with fresh coriander is very good.
- Coriander and green onion: I love fresh herbs and I am committed to using a lot of herbs whenever I buy them. That’s why you’ll be using a whole cup of coriander leaves for this coriander seasoning. Green onions add a fresher flavor. I like it!
- Jalapeño: This is the last minute I first did this and I have been adding it ever since. I mixed about 1 tablespoon of fresh jalapeno and mixed with the other ingredients. It won’t make it spicy. That said, you can always add it.
- spices: Onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper wrap everything around to make this dressing more delicious.

Tips for making my cilantro lemon sauce
Tip 1: Use a blender. The fastest way to make this recipe is to add all the ingredients to the blender, beat and wait for 30 seconds. Food processors are also effective!

Tip 2: Do it in advance. Making your own salad seasoning every night of the week may not be ideal. That’s why I’m happy to say that this is continuous when stored in an airtight container for about 4 days. The greens of the coriander may be slightly sluggish, but not much, and the dressing is still great.
Then you go, my favorite dressing! I’ve used it for everything. This is a great choice for taco salads, as a sauce for these simple chicken breasts drizzled over grilled veggies, which I added to a burrito bowl made with my favorite cilantro lime rice!

Adam and Joanne’s Tips
- storage: Keep the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Greek Yogurt: While I like the rich, rich flavor of full fat sour cream, you can replace regular Greek yogurt with sour cream. Cheese is also a good choice and adds extra protein.
