Matcha Ice Cream – Nude in the Kitchen

Yes, I do use green tea for ice cream. I have no regrets. If you know me very well, you might know that I am not a fan of Green Tea. This is not my business. But matcha ice cream? To me, it was really jaw-dropping delicious.

This is a super smooth buttercream ice cream with a fresh, slightly earthy flavor that makes matcha so unique. The taste of matcha ice cream is even more refreshing, just like ice cream ice cream.
Matcha ice cream was shocked by several of my kids when I shared this with several families at the ice cream party this summer. If adults like green tea, they might like this ice cream. But the kids? I didn’t expect this to be very popular with them.
And, if I’m honest, I’m really surprised I like this ice cream as much as I do. I kept going back to the fridge to taste it again. How I enjoyed this ice cream so much, and still not liking green tea is a mystery.
What if you happen to be a fan of Green Tea? I can guarantee that you will love this matcha ice cream recipe with fairly high certainty.

Just milk, cream, sugar, a little salt, a little vanilla and of course the vibrant green matcha powder you can make memorable ice cream. (I bought this matcha powder to make ice cream, but any matcha you like to drink can work well in this recipe.) Since matcha is the star of the show here, it provides a gorgeous natural green for the ice cream.
While I like that this ice cream is not particularly sweet, you can easily adjust the sugar for a sweeter ice cream. Or, if you want to add super kicks from green tea, feel free to stir a spoonful of matcha.

For some other refreshing ice cream, check these flavors. Sweet cream and egg lemon juice gather together in this simple recipe for lemon ice cream.
The bright citrus ice cream has only a little banana, and six-three cents are ice cream, the ultimate creamy cold spot on hot summer days. This is the ice cream I remember spending in my grandparents’ house in the summer.
Homemade mint ice cream made with fresh mint is like other mint chocolate ice creams you’ve tried in the past. It’s both cold and creamy and comes with the perfect chocolate bar and has a softer, fresher mint flavor that might surprise you.
